QUARTERBACK

Jimmy Garoppolo, San Francisco 49ers

*Roster Percentage: 39%

Coming off a Week 9 Bye Garoppolo takes on the Chargers in Week 10 who have given up the 12th fewest points to fantasy QBs this season. But Jimmy G has shown he can hang against some of the tougher defenses as he did in Week 8 completing 21-of-25 for 235 yards and two touchdowns against a tough Rams defense. If you are struggling at quarterback Garoppolo could be a middling option to get you by most weeks.

Daniel Jones, New York Giants

Roster Percentage: 40%

It’s been a bit of a rocky road for Daniel Jones this season and when we saw him last in Week 8 those bumps turned into roadblocks completing 17 of his 31 passes for 176 yards, no touchdowns while taking on FIVE sacks. Normally his saving grace is the rushing upside but he only rushed six times for 20 yards against the Seahawks. The Giants have struggled but perhaps coming off their Bye they can get things back on track with a match-up against Houston.

Baker Mayfield, Carolina Panthers

Roster Percentage: 4%

It’s hard to know who will be under center for the Panthers over the next few weeks but after having a nice game in Week 8, PJ Walker simply imploded in Week 9. Mayfield then stepped in and completed 14 of his 20 pass attempts for 155 yards, two touchdowns in garbage time against the Bengals. Although it hasn’t been announced at this time but my bet is the team goes back to Mayfield. Baker was one of the worst starting QBs in the league to begin the season but perhaps the time off due to injury/benching will light his fire. The main reason to consider any Panthers option this week is the TNF match-up against a Falcons defense that has given up the 6th most points to fantasy QBs this season. It might not be long before we see the team give Sam Darnold a try who is set to come off of IR.

Others to Consider:
Deshaun Watson (29% week 13 return), Taylor Heinicke (11% @ PHI), Desmond Ridder (1% stash)

RUNNING BACK

If available:
Jeff Wilson Jr. (52%), Gus Edwards (51%), Tyler Allgeier (60%)

Rachaad White, Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Roster Percentage: 34%

The Bucs are struggling this season and the run game has been a big part of that. Veteran Leonard Fournette isn’t getting the job done and rookie Rachaad White has been more electric when given the opportunity. In Week 9 he rushed eight times for 27 yards. While those aren’t usable numbers for fantasy purposes he is an upside stash if the Bucs decide to turn to their younger back.

Jaylen Warren, Baltimore Ravens

Roster Percentage: 7%

This is another situation where a rookie backup looks better than the bigger name vet. The Steelers have mention Warren deserves more work and after he rushed six times for 50 yards and hauled in three balls for 25 additional yards before the Steelers Week 9 Bye there is a good chance we see him see that uptick in snaps. I don’t expect the Steelers to go away from Najee Harris, but Warren is someone to consider stashing in this barren running back waiver list.

Latavius Murray, Denver Broncos

Roster Percentage: 31%

The Broncos are coming off a Week 9 Bye where they hope to resolve some of the flaws they have shown so far this season. In doing so they did trade for Chase Edmonds who will once again likely turn this backfield into a three-headed monster. To be honest though I still think Murray stands a chance at leading this backfield when all is said and done. In Week 8 Latavius rushed the ball 14 times for 46 yards and a touchdown while adding an additional 13 yards through the air. In smaller leagues this might be a situation to avoid, but in deeper leagues he is someone you can stash and see how the backfield situation unfolds.

Chuba Hubbard, Carolina Panthers

Roster Percentage: 33%

Hubbard was injured in Week 7 but is likely to return in Week 10. We saw teammate D’Onta Foreman explode in Week 8 rushing 26 times for 118 yards and three touchdowns but then fall back to earth in Week 9. Its likely Hubbard takes a back seat moving forward but fantasy managers should be aware that after the CMC trade it was Hubbard who received the start in Week 7 and rushed nine times for 63 yards and one touchdown prior to going down.

Others to Consider: Jerick McKinnon (18%)

WIDE RECEIVER

If available:
George Pickens (56%), Kadarius Toney (55%)

Odell Beckham Jr., Arizona Cardinals

Roster Percentage: 23%

Reports have accelerated the timeline for Odell Beckham who was previously expected back in December but reports surfaced stating he could be “fully cleared” to practice by the end of this week. Beckham tore his ACL in the Super Bowl while playing for the Rams. Many teams have been linked to landing the veteran free agent but I have him landing with the Cowboys (we shall see). There likely isn’t another higher upside player available on waivers this week so now is the time to add him.

Terrace Marshall Jr., Carolina Panthers

Roster Percentage: 6%

As I mentioned in the quarterback section this Panthers team has uncertainty under center which will effect all the skill players in the offense. But Marshall has come on since becoming a full-time player and has caught seven his 15 targets for 140 yards his last two games. Week 10 should be a match-up where he builds on those stats when the Panthers take on an Atlanta defense that has given up the 2nd most fantasy points to wide-outs.

Treylon Burks, Tennessee Titans

Roster Percentage: 17%

Burks was placed on injured reserve in early October and is eligible to return. It remains to be seen when exactly we will see him return, but it could be soon. No Titans pass catcher has been a viable starter for fantasy but Burks does fit the profile of an alpha receiver for a team that desperately needs player-makers behind star running back Derrick Henry.

Others to Consider:
Jahan Dotson (18%), Jarvis Landry (17%), Corey Davis (15%)

TIGHT END

If available: David Njoku (67%)

Greg Dulcich, Denver Broncos

Roster Percentage: 35%

If Dulcich was dropped during the Broncos Week 9 Bye hopefully you had the foresight to scoop him up already but if not now is likely your last chance. Since his debut in Week 6 this young rookie has caught 12 passes for 182 yards and one touchdown (15.2 YPR). The flowing locks should be going full steam ahead in Week 10 as the Broncos take on a Tennessee defense that has given up the 6th most fantasy points to tight ends.

Cade Otton, Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Roster Percentage: 11%

Sticking with the rookie tight end theme we once again have Cade Otton on the list. Veteran Cameron Brate was once again out with a neck injury and Otton took full advantage catching 5 balls for 68 yards and a touchdown. Those numbers actually lead the team in receiving for the struggling Buccaneers. Even when Cameron Brate returns I believe Otton has taken over the pass catching role moving forward.

Others to Consider:
Cole Kmet (23%), Noah Fant (10%), Foster Moreau (4%)

DEFENSE

New Orleans @ PIT
New York Giants vs HOU
Tennessee vs DEN
Denver @ TEN
